A Prayer for Our Puppy...

Our baby boy is a little hurt right now :( For those of you who don't know our big boy King, he was actually my St. Patty's Day present from Ricky almost 6 years ago! We ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DOG, at first glance most people are usually terrified of him, but once you get to know him, he is just a big love bug!!!This past week he was limping pretty bad, it had gotten to the point that he was not using his back left leg at all, and would not even get up to eat... a pretty big scare (his dad passed pretty young of leg complications, so we were kind of worried)... Turns out he has a torn ACL, the vet said we could either do surgery (which may not even correct it completely) or just let it heal, but the he will most likely injure it again :( He is on pain meds right now and we are letting him rest to let it heal and see how he does from here...Karly LOVES King... she loves most dogs anyways... but I think she has a soft spot for this big guy. Her eyes light up when she sees him! And he is just soooo awesome with her too! (Most people buy into the stereo-type of pitbulls that they are vicous animals, but we truly believe trained right... they are the PERFECT family dog!) And King has proved to be! Karly has been making sure to keep him company while he heals...Playing with him...He likes to roll over so she can rub his belly (or what he thinks is rubbing... she is actually just crawling ALL OVER HIM!) Our prayer is that our boy heals quickly and does not injure himself again:)Other than taking care of King we all have been just hanging out... me, Kar, Kt and Amy went to lunch together...Kar... checking out everyones plates! Sisters! Me and my baby girl! Auntie Amy and KarlyWith the weather changing to an enjoyable fall like scene here in California...We have had some BEAUTIFUL sunsets! MMMMM... LOVE IT! Even our turtles have been trying to enjoy the weather!
We have had story time with Grandma...And Kar got to spend a few hours with Dad while we went to go see the Michael Jackson movie... WE ARE HUGE MICHAEL JACKSON FANS!Mom and KateMe and AmyWe also went to Paulinas football game where they recognized the senior Football players and Cheerleaders... still can't believe she is a senior! She had the biggest family to walk with her :) Congrats Paulina... WE LOVE YOU! Karly was pretty wiped out after the game! And a little update on our little one......she is loving this walking thing!...She is just as happy as can be.......and we just can't get enough of her..our Karly girl! First Family shot we have gotten :)

Happy Halloween!!!

I had a ton of pictures on my camera to share this post (surprise, surprise :)We are having so much fun with Karly... she had her 9 month check up appointment on the 26th and she is doing great...She built a fort with Dad one night...And yes... SHE IS WALKING!!! She had been pulling herself up on EVERYTHING and using it as a crutch to walk along with until the night before she actually turned 9 months, I noticed she was not using her crutch anylonger. I took her into the pool table room and stood her up in front of me and sure enough... WALKED STRAIGHT TO ME :) My little cutie pie!Playing with Grandma!Trying on some of our Halloween costumes :)Over at Ricky's sisters for Bellas Birthday party (Karly, Kellie, and Dan:)She loved the slide with Papa RickKarly and MichelleAlso, her first time in a bouncy machine... so fun!!!She loved it!Of course I had to get in on the action too!!!On Wednesday, Katie, Amy, Karly and I went to Trader Joes to get our pumpkins :)That night we carved them up at moms...Karly's first pumpkin....she was more interested in eating the inside of the pumpkin :)Rickys pumpkin...David'sKatie'sMom'sAmy'sWe had so much fun! Then the big day had come... since Karly would be wearing ALL WHITE... we decided to let her have her sucker before we left for the night! And here she is... our little TOOTH FAIRY :) Very appropriate huh?!? (I made her scrubs from an old lab coat of mine... she had my typodont toothbrush as her "magic wand" and we took a tooth from my old typodont and hung it from her halo to complete the look :)She was the cutest tooth fairy I have ever seen... and she was VERY comfortable ALL night... she did not even touch her halo, left it on all night long :)mmmmm,.... I love her!!We went and visited all of the kids in our families early with gift baskets for them and then headed over to relax with Ricky's parents for a while! Bella.... cutie! And Carlos... he actually scared Karly pretty bad with this costume, she started crying the second she saw him :/Then we finished the night up at my moms... Amy and AndreaI dressed up as the "tooth fairy's assistant" (lame- I know :) This was what we put on the back of my lab coat!Amy and Becca David- He loved his costume... Karly did NOT!!! He was going around all night trying to scare people as they came up to the door!
Nikki and Marshall (Marshalls costume was hilarious... the headless horseman, when he would remove his head he had a bloody neck, and he actually had it fully equiped with a funnel, so he drank all his drinks by pooring it through his neck! Really Hilarious!!!) Amy and ToddMom :)Katie and AmyKarly playing with the pine cones up at my moms house...she goes straight for them when she gets up there!!! ( and Ricky- come on... we all knew he was not going to dress up :(TracyAll three of our pirates...Even Uncle Bob got a little dressed up :)Sarah and NickOwie monkey!!! (he was giving Karly kisses all night long:)Amy and KarlyWe even had labels for all of the drinks thanks to Katie! (she also did an awesome cake that she did not like how it came out and made me promise I would not post a picture) Along with delicious pumpkin seeds and tomatoe soup shots that looked like shots of blood with tons of other yummy food...
